Iceland - Ultimate Winter Explorer
Price $2000 CAD per person for 7 days/6 nights
With volcano activity in Iceland currently at an all time high, make sure you don't miss this unique opportunity to see the wonders of this unique winter landscape. Catered to the needs of our guests join Martin Gregus and Polish photographer Dariusz Wiejaczka on a tour which is specifically designed to give you more time in the day to explore the exploding Fagradalsfjall Volcano, Vatnajökull National Park, and Snæfellsnes Peninsula all the while spending your nights looking up into the sky for the Aurora Borealis.
Arrival in Reykjavík, guests will be picked up at the airport and taken directly to their hotels where they will have a few hours to unpack and relax. Once everyone is checked in we will have dinner, go over the next weeks plans and spend the evening exploring the Christmas lit streets of Reykjavík.
Day 2 - 6
With the sun coming above the horizon for only about five hours each day we plan to do most of our driving at night in order to get you to the best spots for sunrise and sunset; while working closely around the Fagradalsfjall Volcano will give us plenty of opportunity to be present during peak eruption times.
Over the next week you will have the opportunity to explore the Snæfellsnes Peninsula before heading south to the picturesque village of Vik. While guests will have the option to come out and see the auroras every night we plan to make the most of this mazing spectacle in the ice filled bays of Jokulsalron. Time allowing we will spend one day exploring and hiking around the Vatnajökull Glacier.
After arriving back in Reykjavík we will spend a relaxing morning at the Blue Lagoon before catching our evening flights home.
This trip includes:
- All transportation, and accommodation from the moment you land in Reykjavík
- All rooms are based on double occupancy, if you are traveling alone you will be paired with another single
